Blokus Online
There is also an online version of Blokus at Blokus Online, where visitors may play with opponents all over the world, with four game mode types, Blokus Original, Blokus Trigon (2 players, four colours only), Blokus Duo, and Blokus 3D. There are two rooms in the online version depending on your skill level. Blokee is an online game which was inspired by the game mechanics of Blokus. To avoid confusion, we need to emphasize that this game has no association with Blokus. The game is designed by refereing the rules of Blokus, as well as our own ideas.
Overview
There's just one rule: each piece you play must touch at least one other piece of the same color, but only at the corners! It takes less than a minute to learn but has depth to challenge your whole family. Each player gets a set of 21 pieces - red, blue, green, or yellow - then takes turns placing them on the board. The goal is to fit the most pieces on the board. The game ends when no one can place any more pieces. Everyone counts the squares in their unplayed pieces and the player with the lowest score wins!

On May 18, 2012, a popular, polyomino-based, online game with a worldwide following,which had been in operation, off and on, since around 2003,was abruptly shut down by its corporate parent.

- Blokus (officially pronounced 'Block us') is an abstract strategy game with transparent, Tetris-shaped, colored pieces that players are trying to play onto the board. The only caveat to placing a piece is that it may not lie adjacent to your other pieces, but instead must be placed touching at least one corner of your pieces already on the board.
But a couple of the many dedicated playersdecided to do something about it, and, after a few months of hard work, by September 22, 2012 had built the initial version of this replacement.
We offer a place to meet with other players and play againstthem. Four-color 'classic' games with two or four players or teams are available, as is a smaller, two-color version.
Progress since the initial release continues.Over time, we have added more features and expanded the website,and plan to continue doing so. Bear in mind, though,we're just a few people, working for free,not a $6-billion corporation!

Prospective players can get a taste for what's available ona limited basis as Guest logins, but for long term participationare encouraged to register an account, choosing - and staying with - a single online 'name'. Use of multiple 'id's is discouraged, andwhere it is detected, may be exposed, especially thosewhose purpose appears to be to 'hide' or deceive.
